George Risa Sunkuyia

George Risa Sunkuyia is a seasoned Kenyan politician currently serving his second term as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kajiado West Constituency under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party. His leadership journey began in local governance, where he served as a civic councillor for over a decade before transitioning into a Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Keekonyokie Ward between 2013 and 2017. Known for his grassroots mobilization, Sunkuyia successfully moved to national politics by winning the parliamentary seat in 2017 and retaining it in the 2022 general elections. Beyond his legislative roles on various parliamentary committees, he is a family man and farmer residing in Kiserian. He recently made headlines following an investigation by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) regarding the authenticity of his academic credentials, a matter he has publicly dismissed as a politically motivated smear campaign.
