About Godfrey Murithi Muchiri
Godfrey Murithi Muchiri is the sitting Member of the County Assembly for Karingani Ward in Chuka-Igambang'ombe Constituency, Tharaka-Nithi County. He was elected in the 2022 General Election on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket after receiving 7,110 votes. During the current County Assembly term, he has served as Chairperson of the Finance, Budget and Appropriations Committee and has played a role in the county's budget-making and oversight processes. In July 2025, he tabled the county's KSh6.8 billion 2025/26 budget, which was approved by the Assembly. He continues to represent the residents of Karingani Ward.
