Hon. Monicah Muthoni Marubu

Hon. Monicah Muthoni Marubu is a Kenyan politician and the current Lamu County Woman Representative in the National Assembly. She was elected in the 2022 General Election as an Independent candidate. Before joining Parliament, she served as a Member of the Lamu County Assembly from 2013 to 2017 and later worked at the LAPSSET Development Authority as Head of Community Liaison and Stakeholder Engagement. She holds a degree in International Relations, Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs from the United States International University-Africa (USIU-A). Marubu is known for her focus on community development, women and youth empowerment, inclusion, and addressing economic challenges affecting residents of Lamu County.
