Hon. Obed Mahanga Mwale

Hon. Obed Mahanga Mwale is a prominent Kenyan politician currently serving as the Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Matisi Ward and the Deputy Speaker of the Trans Nzoia County Assembly. First elected into competitive politics at just 22 years old following his leadership tenure as Maseno University's Student Union President, he has established a reputation as an articulate and development-oriented young leader in western Kenya. He currently chairs the assembly's Water, Environment, and Natural Resources Committee, has spearheaded major local community initiatives like the "Ondoa Moshi" public health campaign, and has officially declared his candidacy for the Trans Nzoia County Senatorial Seat in the 2027 general elections.
