Jeremiah Ekamais Lomorukai

Jeremiah Ekamais Lomorukai is a Kenyan politician serving as the Governor of Turkana County since 2022. Before his election as governor, he represented Loima Constituency in the National Assembly (2017–2022), having previously served as a councilor and later as a Member of the County Assembly, giving him more than two decades of experience in public service and elected leadership. A member of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Lomorukai has focused his administration on improving water access, healthcare, infrastructure, peacebuilding, livestock development, and education. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Counselling from Kenya Methodist University and has also pursued studies in governance, reflecting his interest in leadership and public administration
