Mohamed Maalim Mohamud

Eng. Mohamed Maalim Mohamud, popularly known as "Eng. Mumad," is the former Senator for Mandera County (2013–2022) and a professional engineer. He has publicly declared his intention to contest the Mandera gubernatorial seat in the 2027 General Election. In recent months, he has held consultative meetings with professionals, elders, and community leaders across the county as part of his campaign.
