Wycliffe Wafula Wangamati

Wycliffe Wafula Wangamati is a prominent Kenyan corporate executive and politician who served as the second Governor of Bungoma County from 2017 to 2022. Before entering public service, he built a distinguished career in the financial sector as a certified actuary and Managing Director for Zamara Kenya (formerly Alexander Forbes East Africa). Known for prioritizing health infrastructure and local scholarship programs during his single gubernatorial term, his administration faced stiff political friction, ultimately leading to his 2022 electoral defeat and subsequent high-profile legal battles.
