People's Liberation Party

The People’s Liberation Party (PLP) is a social democratic political party in Kenya launched in February 2025 through a comprehensive rebranding of NARC–Kenya under the continuing leadership of veteran advocate Martha Karua. Headquartered at Liberation House in Kilimani, Nairobi, the party distinguishes itself from traditional Kenyan political movements by embedding strict internal leadership term limits into its own constitution to foster a new generation of youth leadership. Moving into the 2027 general election cycle, the PLP operates on a platform centered around anti-corruption, constitutional integrity, economic transformation, and robust social protection systems, while positioning itself as a central pillar of the country's unified opposition coalition.
